خلال الاحتفال في الذكرى السنويّة الخامسة لتأسيس الشركة في مركز دبي المالي الدولي (DIFC)، وكان ذلك في 8 كانون الأوّل (ديسمبر) الحالي، أعلن العضو المؤسّس والرئيس التنفيذي لشركة KAY السيد وليد صيداني عن توسّع نشاطه باتّجاه الولايات المتّحدة الأميركيّة لخدمة دول في أميركا اللاتينيّة ومنطقة البحر الكاريبي. ويعود سبب هذا التوسّع الاستراتيجي، كما ذكر السيد صيداني في كلمة ألقاها بالمناسبة، إلى أوجه الشّبه بين دول أميركا اللاتينيّة ومنطقة البحر الكاريبي من ناحية وبين دول الشرق الأوسط وشمال إفريقيا MENA من ناحية ثانية، وكلا السوقَيْن يُعتبران ناشِئيْن ويمضيان قدمًا في تنفيذ مشاريع تنمويّة وعلى مستوى البُنى التحتيّة، في وقتٍ لم يأخذ التأمين فيهما حقّه كحاجة ضروريّة لإنعاش الأسواق وبالتالي الاقتصاد. ومن هنا، تابع السيد صيداني، “ارتأينا تحقيق هذا التوسّع بالاستناد إلى مركزَيْن مهمّيْن وعالميّيْن لإعادة التأمين في كلّ من دبي وميامي، ما يؤدّي إلى تغطية مخاطر عديدة”.
حضر الاحتفال خبراء تأمين وإعادة تأمين ووسطاء من جميع أنحاء المناطق التي تخدمها KAY العالميّة (AMEA)، فضلاً عن مجالس إدارة وموظّفين. وكان بين الحضور، الرئيس التنفيذي لهيئة مركز دبي العالمي عارف أميري والرئيس التنفيذي لتطوير الأعمال في المركز نفسه Salmaan Jaffery ، فضلاً عن المدير المالي لولاية فلوريدا ورئيس قسم الخدمات المالية Jimmy Patronis، وقد كانت لكلّ من Patronis و Jaffery كلمة تحدّثا فيها عن خطوة KAYالتوسّعيّة انطلاقًا من مركز دبي، مقرّ الشركة التي أنشئت قبل خمس سنوات.

Kay International AMEA Limited expands its operations to United States to serve Latin America & Caribbean region
Kay International AMEA Limited, a boutique Reinsurance Intermediary and Underwriting Management Agency in Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), announced that company has established a wholly owned subsidiary in the United States with the aim of expanding its facultative and treaty reinsurance placement services to Latin America and the Caribbean countries
Kay International AMEA LLC has initiated business activities from its new office in Miami, Florida, after receiving its regulatory approval from the Florida Department of Financial Services to operate as a Reinsurance Underwriting Agency and Reinsurance Intermediary. This mimics the hybrid reinsurance services model that the company practices in the DIFC, United Arab Emirates
The announcement was made during the company’s 5th year corporate anniversary gala held in Dubai on December 8. Commenting on this strategic expansion, Walid Sidani, Founding Member and Group CEO, stated: “we have observed attractive parallels between the LatAm and Caribbean markets and the MENA region – both emerging markets are moving forward with major development and infrastructural projects – this is occurring at a time that the insurance penetration rates, although still low but increasing. This offers us the opportunity to trade and offer quality risk capacity to ensure effective risk transfer in promising emerging markets
